The LTC Medical Director is accountable for quality initiatives to improve HEDIS<!--more--> and other quality ratings and collaborates with the local provider community and state regulatory agencies to improve care. Participate in scheduled LTC team meetings and case rounds. The LTC Market Director is a seasoned medical professional who faces outward to and interacts with the Plan\u2019s membership and physician community, physician and health system, nursing facilities, home and community based networks, medical\/physical professional associates, government representatives, and advocacy groups to advance clinical excellence and the delivery of cost efficient care.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education\/Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MD or DO<\/li>\n<li>Board Certified Physician<\/li>\n<li>An unrestricted state license to practice medicine in any state in which he\/she works<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>Must have 5\u201310 years practice experience, with experience in LTC<\/li>\n<li>Must practice clinically 8 hrs\/wk<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years practice experience in his\/her area of specialty<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years of medical management and general management experience in a managed care environment is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point). Access is a plus.
